Animal Friends,
What a whirlwind year this has been for the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP)! TCAP has accomplished great things this year with the help of dedicated professionals, volunteers and friends of animals throughout the state of Texas.
This year, we piloted our Shelter Spay Program, which allows small, rural communities to host their own pet sterilization programs. This program is offered at no cost to shelters and results in great publicity and support for participating shelters. TCAP's Shelter Spay program now visits Azle, Cleburne, Paris, and Marble Falls, Texas and will enter Weatherford and Hillsboro, Texas in 2005.
We are very excited and thankful for the wonderful year that we had. None of these accomplishments would be realized without the dedication and support of our veterinarians, technicians, animal welfare workers, shelter staff and family. This is labor of love for each of us - a labor resulting in great results.

In an effort to highlight TCAP's accomplishments this year, consider these:
- The famed D Magazine named Dr. Glenn Campbell, who is a weekly veterinarian at our Denton program, one of the "Top 10 Veterinarians in Dallas."
- TCAP began four new satellite pet sterilization programs in 2004 and will enter two additional cities in 2005.
- TCAP worked with Metroport Humane Society to offer a $10.00 pet sterilization/rabies vaccination program for the community. A total of 170 pets were sterilized using this program alone in just one month! Due to its success, this program will be offered again in early 2005.
- TCAP's website received a facelift and now showcases information about each of our programs. Thanks to Shelley Shay of Denton, Texas for her fabulous work!
- Dr. Shirita Bronston, who is one of our most traveled Shelter Spay veterinarians, had a new baby boy just two days after sterilizing more than 100 pets in Marble Falls, Texas.
