Texas Coalition for Animal Protection Mission Statement
The Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) is a nonprofit, membership organization that serves to increase public awareness and understanding of issues affecting animal welfare, to act as an information clearinghouse for animal welfare organizations and to support animal shelters and animal groups.
TCAP will accomplish its mission by:
- Promoting the message of quality animal care and control to as many areas as possible.
- Establishing discount pet sterilization clinics and Texas animal care networks.
- Educating the public regarding effective animal control for the benefit of its members and the public.
- Monitoring and, where necessary, requiring the enforcement of current Texas animal welfare laws and assisting in the formation of new laws when necessary.
- Participating in activities that engender kindness, compassion and ethical treatment to all animals.
TCAP Professional Services
The Texas Coalition for Animal Protection's goal is to strengthen the organizational effectiveness of animal care organizations by offering low cost consulting services, management seminars, board training, strategic planning and management and other resources.
TCAP can provide the following services to its clients:
- Train volunteers for service within their respective communities.
- Educate the public regarding effective animal control.
- Network animal organizations to create better conditions for Texas animals.
- Provide services to new non-profits.
- Provide administrative resources to empower small animal agencies.
- Establish independent pet sterilization and vaccination clinics within Texas communities.
- Provide grant proposal assistance.
- Provide consulting services to municipalities.
